Sales Representative on the road

base salary of $60,000 + we pay amount for mileage + benefits program + retirement savings plan with emplyer contribution and other benefits

Job Description

The sales representative on the road is the first contact between customers and our company. Our company is constantly growing and we are looking to expand our sales team to cover a wider area. The person we are looking for will need to follow up closely with our clients and make regular visits to meet our clients' needs. The sales representative should also promote the company and develop new business opportunities. The sales representative must be able to respond to all customers’ requests and cooperate with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction. Our sales representatives are the real link between the company and it’s customers; they are the ones who convey the image of our company. Their presentations, as well as their professional relationships are not only strategic but very important in order to maintain excellency in our customers’ experience with us.

We are looking for a team player as collaboration with one another is essential to us. The individual must know how to take decisions and initiatives when necessary.

Job requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of the English language and knowledge of French would be an asset
  • Be comfortable travelling long distances and staying overnight in different cities when needed
  • Sales’ experience, customer service skills and ability to work with the public
  • Good communication skills
  • Professional attitude, interpersonal and persuasive skills
  • Be self-sufficient, organized and time efficient
  • Be comfortable with technology (work tools are cell phone and tablet)

Main tasks

  • Promote and sell our products within an assigned territory to existing customers while soliciting new customers and develop new partnerships
  • Communicate with customers to ensure product satisfaction and resolve issues on a regular basis
  • Take orders from customers, quickly forward them by phone, tablet or email to the sales team to ensure our same day shipping policy is respected
  • Participate in the development of the business according to the annual sales plan
  • Manage all sales activities within territory through customer visits as per company policy
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members, assist in updating client files and recovering accounts receivable.


Work schedule is from Monday to Friday. Must be able to work under pressure during our peak periods. These duties may involve long hours and extensive travel.
